Chapter 1360 - 1334: A Chance to Turn Over a New Leaf

Ye Chen wasn’t surprised at all by the expressions on everyone’s faces. After all, anyone could casually obtain this contract, unless some particular methods were used.

Although Ye Chen already had the call records with Yu Yang, they were enough to prove that Yu Yang was behind instructing Yang Miao and Li Yang to break their contracts with the company.

Contracts cannot be faked, having these two things further proves the point, one could say it’s irrefutable evidence.

No matter how Yu Yang tries to deny it, he can’t do anything. His conversation with Ye Chen already indicated that the two artists were meant to move to his company and he did not interfere. Now, the contract is signed.

"Alright, regarding the two artists terminating their contracts, everyone is clear about it now, right? I hope everyone can report this without exaggeration and without covering it up," Ye Chen said with a faint smile.

Although many were curious about how these two contracts were obtained, Ye Chen had just mentioned confidentiality, and everyone felt it inappropriate to ask again.

They knew Ye Chen’s personality well enough that continuing to ask would be futile, as he would just give the same evasive answer again.

"Mr. Ye, rest assured, we will certainly report this properly."

"We will absolutely not tolerate such backstabbing behaviors."

"We must ensure these people receive the punishment they deserve."

The reporters present expressed their anger upon hearing the truth.

Yu Yang’s behavior was truly despicable, and everyone felt completely disgusted by him.

"Thank you all very much, and I hope through your reports we can clear Star Media’s name, shut those mouths, and stop the unwarranted speculations." Ye Chen smiled and spoke to the reporters below the stage.

Su Wanyi also smiled and said, "Really, thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules to hear us reveal the truth. As a token of our gratitude, we’ve specially prepared a sumptuous lunch for everyone. Please enjoy to your heart’s content."

She then glanced at Song Li and said, "Little Song, please lead these journalist friends to our banquet hall."

"Alright, does anyone have any questions? If not, please follow me to the banquet hall to enjoy the feast that our company has prepared for you," Song Li said as she headed towards the reporters.

After learning the truth about the artists’ contract termination, the reporters were too eager to run back and write their articles to be the first to publish, rather than dine.

Consequently, few reporters followed Song Li to the banquet hall, most jogged out of the company door.

At this moment, only Ye Chen and Su Wanyi remained in the venue.

"Honey, now that we’ve clarified with everyone, you can rest easy, right?" Ye Chen spoke up first.

Su Wanyi didn’t respond and instead stared at Ye Chen for a long time.

"Honey, is there something on my face? Why are you looking at me like that?" Ye Chen asked, puzzled.

"Darling, tell me the truth, how did you actually get those contracts?" Su Wanyi asked, her eyes fixed on Ye Chen.

She wanted to discern from his expression whether Ye Chen might be deceiving her.

It’s crucial to know because relying solely on the call recordings wouldn’t be very convincing, these contracts were extremely critical.

Up to the last minute before entering the venue, Ye Chen hadn’t mentioned the contracts to her.

Yet suddenly, he produced them, which truly startled Su Wanyi.

She understood that contracts are very confidential, essential to every company, and can’t be casually acquired.

"Honey, could you not ask? The process isn’t important, the result is what truly matters, right?" Ye Chen laughed and said.

"No way, darling, today I have to know how the contracts were obtained, and dear, are you aware that such actions are illegal and if pursued by the police, could have legal consequences?" Su Wanyi said, frowning anxiously.

"Darling, do you know that even if we can’t prove Yu Yang’s backstabbing, I don’t want you to reveal the contracts publicly. It could cause huge trouble if reported."

Upon hearing this, warmth spread through Ye Chen’s heart; he knew Su Wanyi was worried about his safety.

"Don’t worry, honey. I didn’t steal these contracts; someone gave them to me voluntarily," Ye Chen said with a smile.

"Someone gave them to you voluntarily?" Su Wanyi asked, puzzled.

"Yes, and believe it or not, it was the two artists, Yang Miao and Li Yang. They felt very guilty for the trouble caused by terminating their contracts with the company, so they wanted to do something to make amends," Ye Chen said casually.

"Honey, don’t worry. The reporters won’t report about the contracts, only those present and the two artists know about it, and Yu Yang won’t be aware of it."

The reason Ye Chen said this was because he had the system erase the piece of memory regarding the presentation of the contracts from the journalists and attendees. Therefore, there was no way the news could leak out.

In other words, only Su Wanyi and Ye Chen knew about the contracts; others had no clue.

Su Wanyi surely wouldn’t mention it to outsiders, and Ye Chen certainly wouldn’t either.

"Alright, darling, but please don’t do anything risky like this again," Su Wanyi sighed and said.

Although she was still somewhat skeptical of Ye Chen’s words, this was likely the only method to obtain the contracts.

Seeing the expression on Su Wanyi’s face, Ye Chen breathed a sigh of relief; he knew this girl wouldn’t question it further.

"By the way, darling, if what you said is true, does this mean Yang Miao and Li Yang want to return to the company? Are you planning to accept them back?" Su Wanyi asked suddenly, as if something had dawned on her.

"Of course, they do. Otherwise why risk getting those contracts to me? But I don’t plan to bring them back, since they betrayed the company before, it’s hard to guarantee it won’t happen again." Ye Chen said seriously.

He thought to himself that Su Wanyi was such a naive girl; everything he’d said was untrue, and there was no intention from Yang Miao and Li Yang to return to the company.

"Darling, I think everyone makes mistakes, you should give them an opportunity to reform. Moreover, they were the mainstays of the company before," Su Wanyi suggested, trying to persuade.

"Okay, honey, I will reconsider it. Though it depends on their behavior, after all, the two of them betrayed Star Media and now, feeling guilty, betrayed their new company. I think we should be cautious," Ye Chen said as he looked at Su Wanyi.
