Chapter 1436: Intermission 7: Each Of Their Love Lives (1)
It honestly didn’t take long before reality finally hit me.
We were already in our fourth year.
Even now, thinking about it still felt weird somehow. It was the kind of thing you understood logically, but emotionally your brain still hadn’t fully caught up yet. One day you were just another new cadet trying to survive academy life, and then suddenly you looked around and realized you were one of the oldest students left here.
Time really moved in a scary way when you weren’t paying attention.
And on top of that, I was already twenty-one years old now too. Technically speaking, it had already been twenty-one years since I first arrived in this world.
Honestly, that part still messed with me sometimes.
The strangest thing about time was that it never really announced itself properly. Even when it felt like nothing major was happening day after day, things still kept moving forward quietly in the background. Small changes piled up one after another without you noticing, and before long, entire years had already disappeared.
Looking back at everything now, it almost felt unreal.
And right now, this was finally our last year together at the academy.
That thought alone made everything feel a little heavier than usual.
As I headed toward the gymnasium for the morning assembly, I noticed several classmates glancing in my direction. Some gave small waves. Others nodded casually while talking to their friends. A few just stared for a second before looking away again.
It wasn’t exactly some grand welcoming ceremony or anything dramatic like that, but compared to how things used to be, this already felt pretty nice.
At the very least, people weren’t looking at me like I was about to explode something anymore.
Progress.
Before I could even properly settle down, my girlfriends immediately surrounded me the moment they saw me. One after another, they moved over naturally and hugged me without hesitation.
Honestly, the feeling was way too comforting.
Warm bodies pressing against me first thing in the morning was probably one of the best ways to start a school day. I didn’t even realize how much I’d missed this kind of moment until it was happening again.
It genuinely felt like I hadn’t seen them in forever.
Especially Isiliraiellyn.
The moment she appeared, she started speaking complete nonsense like she had been saving it up for days. Actually, scratch that. Today somehow felt even worse than usual.
Which was honestly impressive in its own way.
"Mwahahahaha!" she laughed loudly. "At last, you have decided to grace me with your magnificent presence once more. Do you have any idea how long it has been since you last blessed me with your existence? Truly unforgivable. You should apologize immediately. However, being the generous woman that I am, I may choose to forgive you if you lick my feet."
...Yeah.
That was apparently my morning greeting now.
Honestly, hearing her say insane things with complete confidence this early in the day somehow made everything feel normal again. I didn’t know whether that was comforting or concerning anymore.
Probably both.
Still, I could understand why she was acting a little clingier than usual. Thinking about it properly, I really hadn’t spent much time alone with her recently.
"Well, why don’t I just give you something more to your liking instead?" I replied.
The moment I said that, her eyes immediately dropped toward my crotch without her even realizing she was doing it.
Honestly, the reaction was so automatic that I almost laughed.
She already knew exactly what I meant before I even needed to explain anything further.
Well, apparently she wanted my cock more than I originally thought.
Not that I was exactly shocked by that revelation.
Yr also walked over quietly and grabbed the hem of my shirt while staring up at me with an expectant look in her eyes. The sight honestly caught me a little off guard. She wasn’t usually the type to openly show what she wanted like this.
At least, not before.
Now though, she looked genuinely eager, and somehow that made the situation even more dangerous for my self-control.
Then I glanced toward my other girlfriends too, only to realize they all seemed interested in exactly the same thing I had just implied to Isiliraiellyn.
The looks they were giving me made their intentions painfully obvious.
Honestly, I suddenly felt like my entire schedule for the day had already been fully booked without my consent.
Truly tragic.
I was suffering from success.
After a little while, the morning assembly finally began, saving me from whatever kind of chaos was about to happen in the middle of the hallway.
Then the new student council president stepped forward.
Although calling it a proper election would’ve been inaccurate.
Back then, because of the massive shutdown the academy went through, they never really had the chance to hold a normal election process. Everything had been chaotic during that period, so the academy ended up using another method to decide who would become the next president.
And since Myrcella had already graduated, there was obviously no possibility of her being re-elected.
Naturally, the position ended up passing down to the vice president who had worked alongside her.
Meaning the new student council president was Titania.
"Good morning, cadets of the Milham Academy for Magic Knights," she said calmly.
Her voice carried clearly across the gymnasium while she looked over the gathered students with a composed smile.
Honestly, Titania’s presence felt very different from Myrcella’s.
Myrcella had this overwhelming charisma that naturally dominated an entire room the moment she entered it. People instinctively paid attention to her without even realizing they were doing it.
Titania wasn’t exactly like that.
Her presence felt softer and calmer.
But despite that, she still carried herself with enough confidence and grace that people naturally focused on her anyway. She had the kind of atmosphere that made others want to listen carefully whenever she spoke.
And honestly, seeing her standing there now, she suited the role much better than I originally expected.
Once the morning assembly ended, everyone started heading back toward their classrooms.
While walking through the academy grounds, I couldn’t help looking around at the changes surrounding us.
The academy really had changed a lot.
Several lecture halls had been renovated and redecorated, looking much cleaner and more modern than before. Even the dormitories had changed significantly.
Or rather, the dormitories that used to belong to the Bronze Class and Silver Class.
Now, those buildings had been renovated to look almost identical to what the former Gold Class dormitories used to be like.
Honestly, seeing that still felt surreal.
Back then, the differences between Bronze, Silver, and Gold were painfully obvious no matter where you looked. The treatment, facilities, and even the way students viewed each other had all been divided according to those rankings.
But now, those distinctions were gone.
Ever since the academy officially implemented the belief that all cadets were equal, everything gradually started changing to support that goal. The old system separating students into Bronze, Silver, and Gold had effectively disappeared, and the academy itself was evolving alongside that decision.
And honestly?
It felt really good seeing it happen with my own eyes.
Because looking around now, I could clearly tell that Myrcella’s goal had genuinely become reality.
