Chapter 937 - 10: Complete Annihilation!
Inside a quiet bar.
Duncan’s valiant figure slowly pushed the door open. In his line of sight, a young man with a comical clown face was half-leaning against the corner of the wall, watching him. Upon noticing Duncan’s gaze, he showed a slightly friendly smile, then raised the tequila in his hand, nodding slightly.
Not far from him, a petite but well-endowed girl crossed her arms in front of her chest, lifting her heavy bosom. Her light green eyes were scrutinizing him up and down.
This must be the Enchanted Performer.
Duncan recalled the hesitant report from Vera when she served him. The person before him had a small portion of fairy blood, but Duncan’s focus was on the belt at her waist. It was a high-tier Marvel, possessing a curse effect, and very few people knew it was the legendary ’Gender Transformation Belt.’
This was deliberately told to Vera the Joyful Priest by the Mother of Great Bliss, who then conveyed it to Duncan to avoid some unnecessary trouble. After all, not everyone was into that.
Moreover, this Enchanted Performer indeed had a bit of a taste for both genders, even considered an oddball in the Joyful Sect.
Just then, a handsome middle-aged man with a mustache approached, handed Duncan a drink, and noticing his gaze, whispered directly into Duncan’s ear with a slightly teasing tone: "Quite impressive, isn’t it?"
"Magic altered."
Seemingly aware that he was sneakily conversing with Duncan using tricks, the Enchanted Performer glared at him fiercely.
Stage Master.
One of the two strongest combat forces of the Crimson Performers, one being the Clown, the other the Stage Master; both could confront the forefront.
The Clown possessed the abilities of a Curse Poet, while the Stage Master was unknown; he seemed to have many special abilities.
The Enchanted Performer specialized in illusion techniques as a Warlock.
There was one more person.
Duncan directly locked onto the bar corner through an omniscient perspective, where someone had stealthily hidden, a tall and thin man, seemingly with a bit of half-elf blood.
"I told you he’d find me, right?"
"Pay up."
The Shadow Dancer - Kevin revealed himself, shrugged, and said with a grin to the others: "We won."
The other two looked a bit unwilling; the Enchanted Performer took out a gem and tossed it to the nearby Clown, while the Stage Master threw over an unusual pipe.
"They all say you are the guardian of the Great Treasure Vault, possessing powerful insight to see through stealth and invisibility."
The Clown caught the gem, flipped it in his palm, and it disappeared like a magic trick.
This was a test.
They needed to see what Duncan was truly capable of.
Duncan was not angry, but instead, his calm gaze swept past the crowd, looking at the regal and beautiful woman curiously examining him from within, and said lightly: "Did I not ask for just four people?"
"Who is she?"
Duncan had only asked the Mother of Great Bliss for the main cast of the Crimson Performers, and the Red Curtain Archbishop couldn’t be commanded by him. To avoid command chaos, he hadn’t brought him along.
Upon hearing Duncan’s words, the beautiful woman in the corner elegantly stood up, her posture quite composed, as if the heroine emerging from darkness, and smiled: "Sister White, from the South."
"During this time, I’ve been under the care of the Mother of Great Bliss, so I intended to lend a helping hand."
Duncan noticed the emblem on her chest, the Goddess of Love - Shunni, who is also the Main Goddess of Joy.
Though a Main Goddess, she was still quite lackluster.
Duncan’s brows slightly furrowed, he observed her from head to toe, then his gaze fell onto the magic staff in her hand. He disliked surprises and detested complications.
Seeing Duncan’s silence, Sister White felt somewhat embarrassed for a moment, unable to maintain her heroic-like elegance and composure. Fortunately, she had heard of Duncan and knew that this man was seriously stern and almost harsh, very hard to deal with.
She considered herself a near-legendary Priest, expecting Duncan to be thrilled with her help, but didn’t anticipate his expression of utter disdain.
This woman was indeed an asset, but if she died here, it would spell trouble.
The Priest under the Main Goddess being killed.
The Mother of Great Bliss would have a headache over it for a while.
She joined voluntarily, partly because she indeed received care from the Mother of Great Bliss, and partly from a desire for exciting adventure, to show her talents. As the Main Goddess of a number of goddess alliances, despite the Goddess of Love being subpar, she genuinely stepped in whenever necessary.
This even influenced the Priests who believed in her, irrespective of combat power, they truly came to aid when needed.
However, how much combat power can a Priest of the Goddess of Love have, besides engaging in romantic affairs (in bed)?
At least reduced by thirty percent, perhaps.
If it was someone from the Joyful Sect, Duncan would have dismissed them, but considering she believed in the Main Goddess of Joy, even the Mother of Great Bliss might find it tricky.
Duncan directly set this woman aside, sharply scrutinizing the main cast of the Crimson Performers before him, his voice low as he spoke: "I know you do not fully trust me yet."
Saying this, his gaze swept over the other three, only skipping over the Clown.
Three yellow neutral marks.
For some reason, the Clown had already turned into a friendly unit.
"But the Pain Cult has attempted to assassinate the Mother of Great Bliss multiple times."
"The current situation in Selgante is unstable. The Joyful Sect has been repeatedly provoked to the extreme; if no action is taken soon, enemies from all directions will rush in."
