I sat quietly in the cockpit of the spaceship, gazing out the window at the vast universe. The spaceship flew smoothly, and the stars around me shone faintly like bright gems.
I flicked the switch on my laptop, and the screen instantly lit up, revealing the familiar interface. I expertly opened the Miyou app, anticipating a message from Lei. Sure enough, the app notified me of a new video message. I clicked play, and Lei and the children appeared on the screen.
The children's laughter is as clear as silver bells, a pure sound without any impurities, as if it can penetrate one's soul and make one feel their inner joy. Their smiles are as bright as the sun, a kind of unreserved, pure happiness, without the slightest pretense or affectation, which makes people unable to help but be infected by their innocence.
"Teacher Sui Sui, it was your birthday two days ago, but you weren't at the nursery. We prepared a gift for you and will give it to you when you get back," Maggie said to me earnestly, blinking her big eyes. "Welcome home!" she whispered, her voice tinged with joy and tenderness. Before she finished speaking, she opened her arms and gave me a big hug. This embrace filled me with immense warmth and comfort, as if all my fatigue had melted away.
Then the children jumped out of the car and surrounded me like a flock of happy birds, chirping non-stop. I squatted down and hugged them one by one, feeling their warmth and vitality.
However, when I looked up, I noticed that Lei's eyes were a little evasive, as if she was hiding something from me. Just as I was about to ask what was going on, I saw a luxurious hover car driving over. The decorations on the car body were glittering and particularly eye-catching.
The hovercraft came to a steady stop in front of us, its doors opening automatically. A handsomely dressed man stepped out. He smiled and walked gracefully towards us. "Congratulations on your safe return," he said. "However, something went wrong at the nursery while you were gone, and we need to discuss this."
Although his words were polite, I could still sense a hint of seriousness in them. My heart tightened, unsure of what this sudden situation might hold, but I knew that no matter what, I would face it together with the families at the nursery.
On the way back to the nursery, my mind kept flashing through all sorts of possible events, and the joy in my heart gradually gave way to uneasiness and anxiety. As I walked, I anxiously wondered what had happened.

"Sui Sui and Lotta, you must be tired after traveling all the way." Lei's voice interrupted my thoughts, "Go sit with Mr. Potter in his office for a while. He will answer all your questions. Vaughn and the other kids have gone to make you some delicious food. I'll go see how they're doing."
After saying this, Lei turned and left in a hurry, leaving Lotta and I looking at each other in bewilderment.
