Great means flowing, flowing means far-reaching, far-reaching means returning. Therefore, Tao is great, Heaven is great, Earth is great, and Man is also great. Within the realm there are four great things, and Man is one of them. Man follows the Earth, Earth follows Heaven, Heaven follows Tao, and Tao follows…'" Naturally. All things carry Yin and embrace Yang, their interaction creating harmony. What is "One," what is "Two," what is "Three," and what is "Yin and Yang"? It is said: One is nothingness, Two is existence. One gives birth to Two, Two returns to One. The Three born from the union of One and Two is Virtue, is Nature. One is Yang, Two is Yin. Yang bestows upon Yin, Yin receives from Yang. The rotation born from the union of Yang bestowing upon Yin is Virtue and Power, is Nature. Yin and Yang are finite and unbalanced; the imbalance of Yang bestowing upon Yin and receiving gives rise to Positive and Negative. The rotation that produces Positive and Negative is still Virtue and Power, still Nature…”
