Chapter 478 Sky-Shattering Cannon

Upon hearing this, Chao Bufan smiled and said, "City Lord, since you've said so, then fine, just give me whatever you like."

The city lord stood up and laughed, "The things I bestow upon you are not casual; come with me!"

The city lord introduced each of the nine sacred artifacts in the cabinet in one breath, and then said, "Take a look at everything here. Pick any one as my reward for you."

Chao Bufan asked, "Then how did they get here?"

“I’m not quite sure either,” the city lord said. “These two cannons were originally placed at the entrance. Nobody recognized them, and nobody knew what they were for, so I just threw them into this corner like lesbians.” He then asked, “Do you know?”

Chao Bufan shook his head and said, "I don't know, but I feel like I've seen a cannon that looks similar somewhere before."

“I have consulted many ancient books, but there is no record of these two cannons. I also asked the old city lord and others, and they said they had never seen this thing before. No one knows how it got here, what it is called, or what it is used for.”

“Lord of the City,” Chao Bufan pondered for a moment, then asked, “Could you give me these two cannons?”

“I suspect this thing is just for show. What do you need it for?” the city lord asked.

Chao Bufan smiled slightly and said, "I want to take them out and study them. Perhaps they really are good things!"

“Good stuff my foot,” the city lord said. “We’ve already studied it, but we haven’t figured it out. If you want it, then take it. Leaving it here will only result in it being thrown away as garbage.”

"Thank you City Lord!"

Chao Bufan thanked him and then put the artifact away without any hesitation. He felt incredibly pleased. He never expected that the city lord of Guling City would be so ignorant of its value. They treated an ancient sacred artifact as trash. He was truly ashamed.

Chao Bufan smiled slightly and said, "These two cannons are called Sky-Shattering Cannons."

"The Sky-Shattering Cannon?" The city lord was slightly taken aback.

Chao Bufan grunted in agreement, then said, "There are four Thunder Cannons in total. They were the treasures that guarded the four main gates of the Heavenly Court in the ancient times, namely the East, West, South and North Gates."

"The Heavenly Court's most prized treasure?" the city lord asked in surprise.
