Chapter 319 Orus
Chapter 319 Orus
"The seal has vanished... You must find me... Before everything is over... Pure Body... Absorb the essence..."
The mysterious voice echoed in Kerrigan's mind like a ghost, seemingly possessing a kind of magic that made it impossible to ignore.
Not only Kerrigan, but also Artanis and Raynor beside her clearly heard that somewhat familiar voice.
Artanis's previously calm psionic energy suddenly surged, his eyes widened, and he said incredulously, "This sounds like... Tassadar!"
His voice was filled with doubt and confusion, for his mentor Tassadar had long since passed away, and it was truly unbelievable that his voice could be heard in this void.
Meanwhile, Tarahim stood to the side with his arms crossed, observing everything with indifference.
She witnessed Kirsar's execution of Narud in its entirety, and felt it was somewhat wasteful of Kirsar to smash his target of revenge into "pieces" and make him fuel for eternity.
However, King Silent Szalak praised Kirsarj's approach, considering it an extremely effective form of punishment.
When Tarasim saw Kerrigan and the others' reactions, she couldn't help but ask curiously, "Looks like you heard something. Lead the way?"
Kerrigan hesitated for a moment, but finally nodded.
So the group followed Kerrigan and set foot on a piece of land in the void.
This continent is full of unknowns and mysteries, and a light mist hangs in the air, making one feel as if they are in another world.
Kerrigan led her group across a desolate land, eventually arriving at a deeply hidden fragment.
The "Star Spirit," with its entire body shimmering blue and transparent, stood there quietly, like a dazzling star in the universe, radiating a mysterious and captivating light.
His eyes shimmered with golden light, as dazzling as the stars in the night sky, as if they could see into the fate and secrets of all things.
Artanis turned the corner and immediately spotted the Protoss.
An indescribable excitement welled up within him, for he recognized the figure as his mentor, Tassadar.
“Mentor? Tassadar!?” Artanis strode forward, his voice filled with surprise and confusion. “I’m so happy to see you, but what are you doing here…”
However, before he could finish speaking, the figure of the spirit Tassadar suddenly began to flicker, swaying like a candle flame in the wind.
Immediately afterwards, Tassadar's figure vanished like a wisp of smoke, turning into countless points of light that gradually disappeared into the air.
Just as Artanis was in astonishment, a huge figure slowly emerged from the points of light.
The figure was like a towering mountain, covered in a layer of golden light, as if a god had descended.
“I am not Tassadar,” the enormous figure said in a deep and majestic voice. “I took the form of Tassadar to guide Zeratul, and now you have finally arrived here.”
Artanis stared at the enormous figure, his shock beyond words.
"My name is Orus, the last Xel'Naga, the enemy of Amon." Orus's voice echoed in everyone's minds, clear and gentle, as if it came from the depths of the universe.
Everyone present could hear His words clearly, yet they did not feel uncomfortable because the voice was too loud.
"What brings you here?" Kerrigan asked, frowning.
“You banished Amon from the real world, and He was forced to return to the void.”
"Now is the time to kill the fallen."
"I have lost my former power, but my essence is still enough to give birth to a Xel'Naga."
"Accept my pure essence, absorb my power, become the Xel'Naga, and end this endless cycle."
Kerrigan listened quietly, her heart as calm as a still lake, without a ripple.
However, Reno, who was standing to the side, could not remain silent. His eyes widened and he roared angrily, "You want to turn Sarah into a monster like yours... a giant squid!?"
Renault's voice echoed through the air, filled with disbelief and rage.
He couldn't accept that Kerrigan would become that terrifying creature; his fists clenched tightly, as if he might strike the "god" who made the suggestion at any moment.
“Sarah! Get Kirsaj here. She’s perfectly capable of absorbing this squid’s power and killing the Xel’Naga,” Raynor shouted, turning to Kerrigan.
Upon hearing Renault's words, Kirsage shook his head slightly.
She knew that although she was powerful, it would not be easy to truly kill a complete Xel'Naga.
Narud's incomplete Xel'Naga is not enough to count; she is not entirely confident in facing the real Xel'Naga.
“At worst, we’ll leave the Koprulu Sector! We’ll go somewhere far away…” Renault continued, his voice revealing a hint of helplessness and despair.
However, at that moment, Orus's gaze suddenly fell on Kirsage, and His gentle voice rang out again: "Visitors from another world, your battlefield is not here; malice from your universe is entering."
"You need to deal with them; fighting on two fronts will only lead to your ultimate defeat."
Hearing this, everyone became serious. What could make a being of the level of a creator god believe that they would inevitably fail if they split their forces?
"The Primal Destroyer... a ghost long dead... a being from another dimension..."
"Their power or their very essence has appeared in the sector, and you need to confront them directly."
Orus stared ahead, and a green light gradually condensed into a mysterious instrument before his eyes.
The instrument emitted a faint green light, as if it contained endless energy.
It slowly floated up, as if drawn by an invisible force, and flew straight towards Kirsage.
“I can sense its presence, a Xel'Naga spaceship at the edge of the universe.” Orus’s voice echoed in Kirsaj’s mind, gentle yet firm. “You will be able to use its power to become stronger.”
Kilsager looked at the green device that had suddenly appeared in front of him with some surprise. Its unique shape and the energy it emitted were unsettling.
She hesitated for a moment, but ultimately reached out and took the navigation device.
Kerrigan, who was standing to the side, witnessed all of this. She gently patted Kirsaj on the shoulder, then looked up and met Orus's gaze.
“I will accept your essence, your power,” Kerrigan’s voice was calm yet resolute. “This is the path I must take to become a stronger version of myself.”
Raynor stood beside Kerrigan, his heart heavy.
He knew he couldn't change Kerrigan's decision; their love story was like a tumultuous disaster.
“I have too much guilt and responsibility on my shoulders,” Kerrigan continued, her eyes firm and resolute. “I cannot abandon them and leave alone. I’m sorry, Jim.”
Renault's lips moved as if he wanted to say something, but in the end he didn't.
He just watched Kerrigan silently, his heart filled with helplessness and disappointment.
Orus didn't understand the emotional entanglement between Raynor and Kerrigan, but he was still able to offer some explanations for what Raynor had said before.
“The Xel'Naga have no fixed form; our forms are merely the forms we take at the moment of our ascension.”
"Huh?" Renault asked in confusion.
