Chapter 115 Putting a Sack
Chapter 115 Putting a Sack
Bao Ya and Jiang Yuan hid in the shadows, talking in voices that only the two of them could hear.
After waiting for about half an hour, Bao Ya's legs were numb from squatting. Suddenly, someone else went to the door, knocked on it, and called out twice.
That self-righteous attitude makes him seem like the owner of the house.
Bao Ya was a little discouraged. It seemed that the guy was trapped inside, and it was unlikely that the sack would be put on him today.
She was about to pull Jiang Yuan home when Jiang Yuan grabbed her hand instead.
"Shh, don't move, wait a little longer."
Bao Ya stopped getting up and craned her neck to look in that direction. She was waiting to see the spectacle of being caught in adultery inside, but several minutes passed and there was still no sound.
Shouldn't they be fighting inside? Why is there no movement? She tilted her head, completely puzzled.
A thought flashed through my mind: Can three people get along this well? Wow, they've gone too far.
Who says people in this era are conservative? They're just uncultured. If education had been as widespread as it is in later generations, hundreds of sequels to "Jin Ping Mei" could have been made.
This piqued Bao Ya's curiosity. She squatted for more than an hour without feeling her legs go numb, and even had an urge to try to climb out the window.
Jiang Yuan, who was standing next to her, sensed his wife's eagerness and grabbed her wrist tightly.
I'm starting to regret choosing this place; I should have chosen a different spot and put on a burlap sack instead.
After squatting for a while longer, the door finally opened.
The person who went in last was the first to come out, and the way he stood up straight and held his head high when he left made him seem quite satisfied.
Two minutes later, Zhang Ye came out. When he reached the door, he turned back and said a few words to the people inside before slowly walking out.
This guy walks with an unsteady gait, as if he's been hollowed out, and he keeps touching his butt.
Jiang Yuan had already unfolded the sack and was holding it in his hand. He slowly stood up, stretched his legs which were numb from squatting, and turned to Bao Ya in a low voice:
"Follow behind me and don't make a sound."
Bao Ya also warmed up her hands and feet, bent over, and got ready.
Seeing Zhang Ye walk into the alley without streetlights, Jiang Yuan followed quietly, with Bao Ya close behind.
Deep in the alley, Jiang Yuan took two quick steps and put a burlap sack over his head.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
Jiang Yuan didn't say anything, but forcefully chopped Zhang Ye in the back of the neck with his hand, and Zhang Ye immediately stopped moving.
Seeing that they had succeeded, Bao Ya rushed up and, together with Jiang Yuan, used both hands and feet to punch and kick the person on the ground until they were both tired before they stopped.
After catching her breath, Bao Ya walked to his side by the faint moonlight and kicked him in the groin.
One side is enough for this guy; leaving the other side would be a waste. This way, he won't go and ruin other people's girls.
That kick was delivered with full force; even Jiang Yuan felt pain just watching it.
The person inside the sack seemed to have been awakened by pain, clutching their lower body and curling up like a shrimp, groaning in agony.
Seeing that it was about time, Bao Ya reached out to reach into his pockets, but before she could touch him, Jiang Yuan pulled her up.
Bao Ya glanced helplessly at Jiang Yuan, then leaned close to his ear and whispered in a voice only the two of them could hear:
"Take everything out of him and stage a robbery."
Having understood Bao Ya's meaning, Jiang Yuan personally searched through Zhang Ye's pockets one by one.
The things that were found were handed to Bao Ya. Before she could take a closer look, Bao Ya pulled out the largest one and stuffed it into her pocket.
Suddenly he noticed a pile of stones nearby. He went over, groped around, picked out the largest one, lifted it up, and smashed it down on Zhang Ye's knee.
If we hadn't known he was hanging out with the Revolutionary Committee, we could have just given him a beating today. But now that we know he's with that group, we can't let him off so easily.
She refused to believe that those people would bring a cripple with them when they raided her house.
"ah!!"
With the sound of bones cracking, Zhang Ye let out a scream and tried to get out of the sack.
Jiang Yuan was also frightened by his wife's fierceness just now, but seeing that Zhang Ye had woken up, he felt the exact spot through the sack and hit him again, knocking him unconscious.
Jiang Yuan took his sack down and took off his coat as well.
The two walked backwards out of the alley, their cotton-padded coats spread out and dragging on the ground, trying to erase their footprints. Bao Ya casually threw the things she was carrying on the road.
When they reached the public restroom on the main road, Jiang Yuan casually threw his coat into the restroom before pulling Bao Ya home.
The two quietly returned home, entering the house in the dark without turning on the lights. Jiang Yuan went straight to the kitchen and threw the burlap sack into the stove to burn.
The two of them went straight to bed without washing up.
The couple slept in each other's arms; it had been an incredibly exciting night.
The two of them overslept the next day. Jiang Yuan grabbed a quick bite to eat and went to work.
Bao Ya didn't get up until almost 10 o'clock.
I got up, ate something, packed a few changes of clothes, and planned to take a shower at the factory's public bathroom.
It was early spring, and it was a bit cold to shower at home, so she was too lazy to boil water. Based on her observations, the bathroom wasn't crowded from this time of day until lunchtime.
Bao Ya was carrying a basin when she went out and saw Granny Zhou, Shi Zhenxiang, and Grandma Liu whispering to each other. The three of them were practically huddled together.
When Granny Zhou looked up and saw Bao Ya coming out of the house, she quickly waved to her.
"Bao Ya, come here quickly, I need to tell you something."
She felt this news should be shared with Bao Ya, and Bao Ya readily agreed.
"Did you know that someone came to Zhang Cuifeng this morning and said that her nephew Zhang Ye was beaten up yesterday and was found and taken to the hospital this morning?"
Sure enough, Zhang Ye had been discovered long ago.
Bao Ya opened her eyes wide and looked at Granny Zhou with great curiosity, signaling Granny Zhou to continue.
"Oh my, you don't know, the place where he was beaten was near the house of that young widow in Laoshu Hutong."
As Granny Zhou spoke, her mouth almost turned to one side of her ear. Although she was a gossip, loved to take advantage of others, and was disliked by many, she considered herself a decent person.
"I've heard for a long time that he's having an affair with that young widow, and someone even saw him going to her house at night."
Shi Zhenxiang added, and Bao Ya nodded in agreement: Zhang Ye not only had an affair with that widow, but also with her lover.
"It seems they were robbed; money and tickets were scattered all over the ground, and their legs were broken. The police have gone to the scene."
Granny Zhou continued. Suddenly, Bao Ya asked:
"Do you know who did it?"
This is the first time in my two lives that I've ever put someone in a sack; thinking about it now makes me feel a little guilty.
I acted impulsively yesterday and smashed his kneecap; thinking about it now, it's a bit scary. But if she had to choose again, she would still do the same.
"I haven't heard anything about it. They said the police are investigating, but he's just a small-time hoodlum with so many enemies. It won't be easy to find him."
After chatting with them for a while without getting any useful information, Bao Ya took the basin to the bathroom.
There were only a few people scattered around in the public bathroom. Bao Ya found a tap, put her things down, and turned around to see Yan San's wife, who was just one tap away.
Yan San's wife also saw her, but since they weren't familiar with each other, they didn't greet each other.
But Yan San's wife picked up a towel, threw it forcefully into her basin, snorted, and went to the tap further away.
Bao Ya was a little confused. Was this girl alright? She didn't know her well, so who was she talking to?
