Chapter 652 The following offense
Bodhi Patriarch said, "Wukong, the Jade Emperor is indeed wrong, but his mistake does not warrant death."
When the Jade Emperor saw that Bodhi Patriarch had finally arrived, he was naturally overjoyed. Upon hearing Bodhi Patriarch's explanation, he quickly got up and said, "Sun Wukong, I didn't mean to not invite you. I've just been too busy lately and forgot."
"Heh." Sun Wukong sneered and said, "Old Jade Emperor, do you think I don't know what you're thinking? Don't think that just because my master is here, I won't dare to take your life."
The Jade Emperor said, "Bodhi Patriarch, look at the good disciple you taught, who has actually committed treason."
He assumed that Patriarch Bodhi had come to help him, and therefore his tone became firmer.
Sun Wukong said, "Master, I hope you won't interfere. I'm determined to take that Jade Emperor's life."
“Wukong, I understand how you feel,” said Patriarch Bodhi, “but I hope you will think twice before acting and not make a foolish mistake again.”
“This disciple is not confused,” Sun Wukong said. “This is all the Jade Emperor’s own doing. Master, this disciple has offended you.”
As he spoke, Sun Wukong used a freezing spell on Bodhi Patriarch, immediately immobilizing him. Originally, all of Sun Wukong's skills were taught by Bodhi Patriarch, so logically, Sun Wukong's freezing spell should have been completely ineffective against Bodhi Patriarch. However, he truly managed to freeze Bodhi Patriarch in place.
"Wukong, you..."
Patriarch Bodhi was greatly surprised. Clearly, he had not expected that this disciple's skills would surpass his own, because he simply could not break Sun Wukong's immobilization spell.
After immobilizing Bodhi Patriarch, Sun Wukong turned to face the Jade Emperor and said, "Jade Emperor, prepare to die!"
With that, he swung his golden cudgel and struck the Jade Emperor on the head. With a loud "bang," the Jade Emperor didn't even have time to scream before his body exploded and he died from the blow.
"The Jade Emperor."
The immortals and gods exclaimed in unison, even the Queen Mother of the West was startled, and then angrily said, "You demon monkey..."
"Wukong, you..." Patriarch Bodhi released the immobilization spell and said angrily, "You wicked disciple, how can you not repent? Do you know that without the Jade Emperor in Heaven and without the Buddha in the West, the Three Realms are in great calamity."
“It’s alright, it’s alright,” Sun Wukong waved his hands and walked up to Patriarch Bodhi, saying, “Master, I should say something I shouldn’t have. As the saying goes, ‘the student surpasses the teacher,’ and in the Three Realms, no one can do anything to me. Besides, Buddha and the Jade Emperor have wronged me, and they deserve to die.”
As he spoke, Sun Wukong knelt down before the Bodhi Patriarch in front of everyone and said, "Master, I am not an ungrateful person. If it weren't for you back then, I wouldn't be where I am today. Now, I have grasped the edge of the Dao of Limitlessness. One day, I will step into the Great World of Limitlessness. At that time, I will definitely bring all those who have been kind to me into the Great World of Limitlessness, so that we can roam freely in the chaos and travel through the void."
Upon hearing this, many people were shocked. Patriarch Bodhi asked in surprise, "You unfilial disciple, you say you have comprehended the Dao of Limitlessness?"
Sun Wukong replied, "Yes, Master."
Patriarch Bodhi frowned slightly, then said, "Do you know that even your master has not comprehended the Dao of Wuji?"
“Master,” Sun Wukong said, “I dare not deceive you. Now, I have indeed explored the threshold of the Dao of Limitlessness.”
Patriarch Bodhi nodded and then said, "You unfilial disciple, from this day forward, the relationship between us as master and disciple is severed. You are wild and untamed, and even I can't control you anymore. You'd better take care of yourself!"
With that, Patriarch Bodhi rode away on auspicious clouds and departed.
Sun Wukong said urgently, "Master..."
Seeing that his master, Patriarch Bodhi, had left, Sun Wukong frowned slightly, then shook his head, sighed, and stood up…
At this moment, the Queen Mother of the West was crying her heart out, overwhelmed with grief.
Sun Wukong glanced at everyone, then rode his somersault cloud away from the Lingxiao Palace, heading straight for Mount Ling, because Dijiang, one of the Twelve Ancestral Witches, was on Mount Tian.
According to the *Shenyi Jing* (Classic of Strange Things), west of Kunlun there is a beast that resembles a dog, with long fur, four legs, and a bear-like appearance but without claws. It has eyes but cannot see, cannot walk, has two ears but cannot hear, possesses human-like intelligence, has a belly but no internal organs, and has straight intestines that do not twist, allowing food to pass directly through. Those with virtuous character will confront it, while those with wicked character will rely on it. It is called Chaos. It dwells in emptiness and inaction, constantly twirling its tail, turning and laughing towards the sky.
It means that on the western Tianshan Mountains, there is a divine bird, shaped like a yellow cloth bag, red like a ball of fire, with six feet and four wings. It has no ears, eyes, mouth, or nose, but it knows how to sing and dance. Its name is "Dijiang", and it is the ancestral witch of space speed.
Because Dijiang was the leader of the Four Fiendish Beasts, also known as Chaos, he was of lowly character and the embodiment of evil. It took Tathagata a great deal of effort to subdue him and seal him under the Tianshan Mountains.
Mount Tian, also known as Mount Buzhou, is said to be an incomplete mountain. As is well known, when Gonggong fought for power with Zhuanxu, he lost to Zhuanxu and, in a fit of anger, knocked down Mount Tian, which is why it is called Mount Buzhou.
Upon arriving at Buzhou Mountain, Sun Wukong used his Earth Escape Technique to appear in the cave where Dijiang was sealed. There, he saw a headless animal about a meter tall lying there, its body covered in flames, its appearance indescribably eerie. This was Dijiang, one of the Twelve Ancestral Witches and one of the Four Fierce Divine Beasts.
However, Dijiang looked extremely weak and appeared to be in great pain.
Dijiang seemed to have anticipated someone's arrival. His abdomen bulged slightly as he spoke, "You are Sun Wukong?"
Sun Wukong looked Dijiang up and down, and then said, "That's right, it's me, Old Sun."
Dijiang said, "Sun Wukong, why aren't you staying at Mount Ling as the Great Sage Relic King Buddha? What are you doing here?"
Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong shook his hand and said, "Don't mention it. I get angry as soon as I hear the name 'Namo Great Sage Relic King Buddha'."
"Oh?" Di Jiang was slightly taken aback and asked, puzzled, "Why is that?"
Sun Wukong said, "I, Old Sun, was deceived by Buddha, so I killed him."
Upon hearing this, Dijiang asked in surprise, "You killed Buddha?"
“I killed him,” Sun Wukong said calmly. “I also killed the Jade Emperor.”
"Good, well done!" Dijiang shouted. "Speak! What brings you here?"
Sun Wukong said, "Of course I'm here to save you."
"Save me?" Dijiang was stunned for a moment, then said, "Sun Wukong, did I hear that right?"
Sun Wukong laughed and said, "Of course you heard right, I, Old Sun, have indeed come to save you."
“Since you are the enemy of Buddha, then you are my friend, Dijiang,” Dijiang said. “Sun Wukong, I’m afraid you can’t save me.”
