A carefree soldier king in the city

Chapter 651: Making Trouble in Heaven

Chapter 651: Making Trouble in Heaven

The Four Heavenly Kings, the Eight Bodhisattvas, the Eighteen Arhats, and the Buddhas rushed forward, ready to fight, but Sun Wukong waved his hand, and they immediately staggered and swayed, about to fall. When they regained their balance, they saw that the Buddha was no match for Sun Wukong. His whole body flashed with golden light and then transformed into a golden elixir that hung in mid-air.

Sun Wukong reached out and grasped the golden elixir, laughing loudly, "From this day forward, there will be no more Buddhas in the Three Realms."

None of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas could believe what they were seeing. The Buddha was no match for Sun Wukong and was killed by him. The Buddha was dead.

"Buddha."

Many Buddhas and Bodhisattvas immediately burst into tears.

"Amitabha, I'm so sorry!" Tang Sanzang said, wiping away his tears.

Sun Wukong put away the elixir in his hand—a precious treasure—the Buddha's relic. He knew its uses well; it was after swallowing seventeen relics that he defeated the Buddha Wutian. After carefully storing the relic, he turned his sharp gaze to the Jade Emperor. The Jade Emperor, already terrified, trembled on his dragon throne, quickly sending someone to fetch the Bodhi Patriarch while ordering his men to protect him.

The Four Heavenly Kings, the Twenty-Eight Star Lords, the Pagoda-Bearing Heavenly King, Erlang Shen, Marshal Tianyou, the Nine Heavens Mysterious Lady, the Twelve Golden Hairpins, the Nine Luminaries Sun-Wandering Gods, Night-Wandering Gods, the Taiyin Star Lord, the Sun Star Lord, the Martial Virtue Star Lord, the Yousheng True Lord, and more than a hundred others, brandishing swords and spears, surrounded Sun Wukong.

Laozi scolded, "Sun Wukong, stop right now!"

With that, he threw his prized treasure, the Vajra Bracelet, at Sun Wukong...

Sun Wukong knew the power of the Diamond Bracelet. When he caused havoc at the Queen Mother of the West's Peach Banquet, he was accidentally struck on the head by the bracelet and that's how he was captured.

This Vajra Bracelet, forged from refined steel and imbued with the elixir of immortality by Laozi, possesses immense spiritual energy. It is capable of transformation, impervious to water and fire, and can encompass all things in the heavens. It was this Vajra Bracelet that enabled Laozi to convert the barbarians to Buddhism when he passed through Hangu Pass and the Red River.

This Vajra Bracelet is considered an unparalleled magic weapon, but Sun Wukong at this moment is no longer the Sun Wukong of the past. His pair of golden eyes shot out two beams of golden light, which collided with the Vajra Bracelet in mid-air. With a "bang", the Vajra Bracelet was instantly shattered into several pieces and fell to the ground.

"Oh dear, my Vajra Bracelet!"

Seeing his magical treasure destroyed, Laozi felt as if his heart was being torn apart. "Sun Wukong, you..."

Sun Wukong said, "Laojun, back then I stole your elixir, but you threw me into the Eight Trigrams Furnace. Heaven is kind-hearted and gave me a pair of fiery eyes. I don't hold a grudge and am grateful to you. Now you want to use this chisel to hurt people from behind. You deserve to be beaten."

Laozi said, "You demon monkey, your demonic nature is unforgivable, you deserve to die."

Sun Wukong said, "Whether I, Old Sun, should die or not is not up to anyone to decide. Laozi, you are the head of the Three Pure Ones, and you have lived to a ripe old age. Can't you see my true abilities? I, Old Sun, am compassionate and mindful of past friendships, so I will not be your enemy. Listen carefully, all of you. I, Old Sun, dare to kill even the Buddha, let alone you. Those who do not wish to die, stand aside and do not make any rash moves, otherwise, I, Old Sun, will indiscriminately kill the innocent. Rest assured, I, Old Sun, only wish to settle my grudges with the Buddha and the Jade Emperor, and will not harm the innocent."

After hearing this, some of the immortals and Buddhas hesitated, while others wisely withdrew. After all, Sun Wukong's strength was already evident; even the Buddha was no match for him. How could they possibly be his enemy?

Sun Wukong grabbed the Jade Emperor by the collar, startling the Jade Emperor who cried out, "Sun Wukong, what are you doing?"

Sun Wukong sneered and said, "Old Jade Emperor, you've been sitting on this throne for so long, isn't it time for me, Old Sun, to sit here for a bit?"

The Queen Mother of the West angrily said, "You audacious monkey, stop your wild words and stop right now!"

Sun Wukong sneered at the Queen Mother of the West and said, "You old woman, how dare you be so insolent in front of me, you're asking for a beating."

Erlang Shen quickly stepped in front of the Queen Mother of the West and said, "Sun Wukong, how dare you be so rude!"

Sun Wukong said, "Erlang Shen, do you want to be my enemy?"

Erlang Shen puffed out his chest and said, "Sun Wukong, if you dare to lay a finger on the Queen Mother of the West, you'll have to step over my dead body."

Sun Wukong said, "I, Old Sun, am not someone who cannot distinguish right from wrong. Old woman, for the sake of Erlang Shen, I will spare your life."

As he spoke, he forcefully pulled the Jade Emperor off the dragon throne. Erlang Shen tried to stop him, but was frightened back by a glare from Sun Wukong, and the others dared not take a step forward.

"Sun Wukong, release me at once!" the Jade Emperor cried out in a panic.

Sun Wukong pushed forward, and the Jade Emperor tumbled to the ground. He was furious: "Sun Wukong, how dare you treat me like this? You've gone too far!"

Sun Wukong pressed his foot down on the Jade Emperor's chest and said, "Emperors take turns sitting on the throne, and this year it's my turn. Jade Emperor, if you abdicate, I, your old Sun, will spare your life and even appoint you as a horse groom. Otherwise, you die."

"Wukong, how dare you be so rude!"

Sun Wukong's first master, Patriarch Bodhi, arrived riding on auspicious clouds and landed in front of Sun Wukong in the blink of an eye.

The so-called: The Greatly Enlightened Golden Immortal has no defiled appearance, the wondrous form of the Western Patriarch Bodhi; neither born nor dying, practicing the Threefold Path, possessing complete Qi and spirit, infinitely compassionate. Empty and still, naturally following changes, the true nature does as it pleases; with a majestic body that lives as long as Heaven, the Great Master who has enlightened his mind through countless eons.

This refers to Bodhi Patriarch, who has the demeanor and appearance of a Taoist, and the conduct and thought of a Confucianist. He is a highly accomplished person who is well-versed in Taoism, Buddhism, and the various schools of thought.

Upon seeing that it was his master, Sun Wukong immediately released the Jade Emperor, his eyes brimming with tears. He grasped the hand of the Bodhi Patriarch and said, "Master, you are so cruel. Ever since I bid farewell to you, I have never heard from you again. These years, I have missed you so much."

Patriarch Bodhi stroked his beard and said, "Wukong, you are inherently cruel and unruly. Do you know why I expelled you from the sect back then?"

Upon hearing this, Sun Wukong glanced at Tang Sanzang and then said, "Master, this disciple understands."

Patriarch Bodhi said, "Since you know this, why don't you change it?"

It was clear that Sun Wukong still held Bodhi Patriarch in high esteem, but he felt a deep bitterness in his heart and didn't know how to speak. Wiping away his tears, he said, "Master, I have never forgotten your teachings, but I simply cannot bear this humiliation. I risked my life to save all living beings in the Three Realms, yet when Buddha appointed me as the Relic King Buddha, he feared I would overstep my bounds and thus controlled me. The Jade Emperor is even more hateful. It was one thing to appoint me as a stable boy, but today, on his birthday, he invited all the immortals and Buddhas except me. He clearly doesn't respect me. Master, do you think such a person should die?"
